A serious serving.

Dabba Cartel is such a flavour dish with the strong punch from the female leads. A amazingly well written story and characters, with just the right amount humor ka tadka. I have savoured every bite of this binge watch.
There is a scene in Dabba Cartel where a lady police officer takes her compliance counterpart for a pint of beer, to ease him out and build trust. It brought a smile to my face.Lack of this kind of interaction is precisely the reason why females in the professional world fail to climb up the ladder. Because like it or not, all important decisions are made either over sutta break or during drinks.
At one point people openly laugh at a house maid even though she has secure a co ownership of a business with a lady from middle class. Then one day the maid and the memsahab have a heart to heart. At another a victim gives clues to the officer because "Kisi sarkari officer ko overtime karte nahi dekha". This is attacking all kinds of stereotypes. That said, "Department doesn't pay for personal expenses".
When a Gangster boss comes in, he looks nothing like the bollywood gunda that we are so used to. But just your next door uncle. Nothing to give him away really.
Matlab Shabana Azmi ka kya swadisht kirdaar likha hai. Likhne wale ke Haath choom lo. Then by mistake I checked the names of writers and look who's got the creator credit - Shibani Akhtar, Gaurav Kapoor - What?
Not only this, in the middle of everything a cute lesbian love story takes place, nonchalantly, without premise, like an everyday thing. When you get Kadha Poha for breakfast in bed, can anything get cuter than this?
The husband and wife interaction when Jyotika gets to know that her husband decided that she shouldn't get back to work, was so real that I could literally feel the insects crawling all over my skin. Never realised a mere scene could have a physical reaction.
With each episode, the crazy gets crazier and when you are in the middle of a serious staking, the shopkeeper asks you to move your car from the front of the park. The mundane events of the day are this show's most hilarious parts.
Such crip character arcs, just the right assortment of cast and the magic of their skill is on full display. It's the kind of show where as soon as it starts, you realise that you have found a gem and then your heart pounding in anticipation, furiously wishing that makers hadn't fuck it up towards the end. This one keeps butterflies in your stomach alive all the while.
