Create it.

Don’t get me wrong. I have nothing against the concept, instead I wholeheartedly embrace and apply what this Japanese concept applies.
In simpler terms Ikigai means “ Your reason for being “ something which leads to a purpose resulting in happiness and fulfillment in life. It is normally understood as a combination of :
What you love
What you are good at
What world needs
What you can be paid for
I agree with all of it, except the last part. I have always been very uncomfortable with the expectation to choose only that for which you could be paid for. It is an extremely limiting belief. If what you love to do and are good at is creating meaning for you, definitely there are more people in the world who have the same interest or appreciation for it. The world might not know it yet.
So never be afraid to traverse a different path, it will be harder, you will see no takers in the beginning, just be at it — world will eventually turn around. There is absolutely no harm in being ahead of the curv, creating need and eventually payment, recognition, appreciation all might come.
True art is created just for the sake of it. If you are creating something to get something on return you will be forced to compromise with your art. Instead of you doing it enough times, the world will be cornered into acknowledging it. In the meanwhile you are creating meaning for yourself, that’s more than enough.
Don’t find your Ikigai, create it!
Go out, take action and paint the world red. I believe everyone should create. If you need help, Let’s talk and unblock your mental barriers and re-align them to your core purpose.
