The biggest secret of this world is that we are being raised with lies. We are sold the idea of an ideal and successful life — which requires you to be rich, have a big house, a beautiful family, have great body, great skin, holiday in exotic locations, wearing rich clothes and accessories. All these markers are fabricated and trust me there is not a single person in this world who tick marks all of these measures at all times. These are just socially accepted markers since ages, being followed blindly like a religion.

So what is that truth then? The truth is every person has a purpose and deep down you know what it is. It might be something which you have never done before and you are not pursuing it because it might or might not yield material wealth. But that’s what your calling is. That’s where your self expression exists.

All these markers of material success are the distractions in your way, keeping you away from your self expression and making you miserable even when you achieve success based on societal benchmarks.

Be free of this “moh-maya”. You don’t need any of it. Just be what you are meant to.

How would you know what to do? What your purpose is. It’s simple, make a list of all the things you feel like doing. Of this what is it that you will still do if you don’t get anything in return. No money, no fame, no validation, no appreciation but still you feel an innate need to make that one thing happen. That’s your calling.

Once you have identified it. Make sure you do it everyday.

There may be parts which are monotonous and tedious. Don’t get irritated by it. Find a way to make them interesting for you.

While you are at it, make it as beautiful as you can. Beauty in your work is the only thing worst striving for. Beauty is the only thing that inspires.

Do hard things, beautifully. That’s the only thing which keeps you happy.
