Do you remember all your friends with whom you grew up? Created the best of memories with, stories which you still talk about with pride and nostalgia in which you frequently indulge.

It’s been years since you created those memories. During this time you lost and found yourself quite a many times. Lost touch with the folks who were your best of friends once upon a time. One day you found them again on Facebook, plan to catch up on your next trip home. You are really excite to ignite the memories of old days. You meet them after so many years. Relive the old memories again , laugh just like before but after some time you feel like something is a miss. Something is not fitting as well as it used to before. Flow of conversations is same as it used to be before but your heart is not into it. Suddenly you realise, you have become a very very different person. There is stark difference between who you were and who you have become. Similarly your friends are now a very different people, even different than what you imagined them to be when you were young.
You take your leave with a very mix feelings. You know you might never catch up with them again. You are sad because you really wanted this to work but you know for a fact this will not.
Same thing happens in case of a marriage too, at first everything is all marshmallows and cupcakes. Then comes the abyss of silence. If you really observe a couple who have been married for a long time, you will find out mostly they keep fighting. Not because there is no love anymore but because this is the only way in which they can communicate now. There don’t know how to strike any other conversation. At times days goes by with them needing to say anything to each other, they get way too comfortable with silences. Till the time fear crops up, then just to keep a conversation going and keep the relationship hanging by a thread or just to show they still care, couple starting picking fights with each other for something way too trivial. That what keeps their relationship going in a way.
